Cave Excursion Tour

Ages 12+ • 3 Hours • $148 for Solo Kayak • $243 for Tandem Kayak (Fees included)

This is our most exciting and rewarding tour!!! In the Winter/Spring months this tour is only suitable for experienced paddlers! During our regular season, July-October, this tour can be suitable for both novice and experienced paddlers. There is a series of arches, caves, and rock gardens that are only accessible from the water, and your kayak is the best way to explore them. This tour is exhilarating and at times strenuous. Your guide will help you launch right off the beach, where after a short paddle, you’ll begin to venture along spectacular coastal vistas, grottoes, arches, kelp forests, and protected coves to the Dinosaur Caves.

These caves are both intriguing and challenging, so you choose how much adventure you can handle. Our guides teach you the basic strokes and show you some of the best caves in our area. Central Coast Kayaks has offered this tour longer than any other. Be careful, you might get hooked!

  • The following is included with your tour, if additional accommodations need to be made, please contact us prior to booking.

    • Expert guide(s) to lead your adventure (number of guides depends on group size)

    • Complimentary bottled water and a light snack to keep you energized

    • A wetsuit package to ensure your comfort and warmth during the paddle

    • Photos will be taken of you throughout your adventure and digitally delivered after your tour.

    • All necessary paddling gear provided: kayak, paddle, helmet, and personal flotation device (PFD)

  • To best enjoy your paddling adventure, please arrive wearing your swimwear or bring it with you. A wetsuit package will be provided to keep you warm and comfortable throughout your paddle.

    To minimize the risk of losing personal belongings in the water, we ask that you leave them at home or in your car. If you wear prescription glasses, we offer complimentary straps to secure them.

    Baseball caps can be worn under your helmet for sun protection. Since you will get wet, please remember to bring a dry set of clothes to change into after your tour.

  • Reservations are required for all Tours and Classes. Full payment is required at the time of booking. If you need to cancel we will issue a full refund up to 7 days before your scheduled reservation. There are NO REFUNDS for cancellations LESS THAN 7 DAYS before your booking or for "no shows".

    Central Coast Kayaks reserves the right to cancel a Tour or Class based on poor/unsafe weather conditions. In this event, Central Coast Kayaks will contact you as soon as possible and issue a FULL REFUND or offer to RESCHEDULE your booking.
    Light rain or heavy fog will not always cancel your booking, as long as conditions remain calm and safe.
